You would like to join
Say a little about yourself: where you are from, how long you have been in Uruguay. Have a look at membership first if you have not already, because it covers the dues and the membership year.
You run an organisation working with children
We fund and volunteer on projects for children from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds, within a day’s travel of Montevideo. Tell us what your organisation does and where it is. What we fund and what we don’t.
Something else
Press, a collaboration, a question about the association, or an offer to teach us something at an event. All welcome.

A few practical things
We reply as people, not as a system
MIWA is run entirely by volunteers with jobs and families. A reply usually takes a few days and occasionally longer, particularly in January when Uruguay is at the beach.
We correspond in English
Our working language is English, chosen so that members from fifteen countries can talk to each other easily. Write in Spanish if that is easier for you and we will manage, but everything the association does day to day is in English.

We have no office and no public phone number
MIWA is an association of members rather than an organisation with premises. Everything comes through this form.
Our WhatsApp group is for members
It is where members organise things and, under our bylaws, where votes on projects are cast. It is not open to the public, and there is no invitation link on this website.
